Method: Residential Course

Medium             : Tamil
Duration            : 9 months ( July to March)
Accommodation : Maximum of 25 students are admitted every year.
Students           : Laymen, laywomen and religious sisters – in alternative years.

Eligibility           : Higher Secondary or Equivalent. Interest in the Word of God & Biblical Apostolate.

Admission         : On recommendation by the Diocesan Bible Commission & the Religious Superiors.

General            : Biblical Methodology, Inspiration & Inerrancy, Biblical History, Biblical Geography, Old Testament: General Introduction, Genesis, Exodus, Historical Books, Wisdom Literature, Psalms, Prophets.
New Testament: General Introduction, Formation of the Gospels, Synoptic Gospels, Gospel of St. John, Infancy narratives, Sermon on the Mount, Miracles & parables of Jesus, Passion & Resurrection Narrative, Acts & the Early Christian Life.

St.Paul           : Life, Letters & Theology, The Book of Revelation

(b) Bible Correspondence Course for Adults (Diploma Course)

Medium             : Tamil
Duration            : 2 years
Fees                 : Rs.60/- only
Syllabus            : 21 Lessons on OT of NT

Method :           *Monthly a booklet will be sent to these BCC Students
                        *They have to send the Response Sheet to the Institute after each lesson.
                        *Response Sheet will be sent back to the Students after correction.
                        *Contact Seminars will be held in selected centres.

Diploma            : Diploma will be given after successful completion of the Course.

(c) 100 Booklet Series
                        This Institute has planned to bring out 100 booklets on Bible in Tamil. These are being written in a very simple language and distributed at a subsidized rate in parishes and schools. So far forty booklets on OT and NT have been published.

(d) Bible Museum
                        This Institute has a Bible Museum to Which new items are added year by year. The whole Salvation History has been displayed in different drawings and charts. (A ground map of Palestine has been built at the courtyard of the Institute.)

                        A ground map of Palestine has been built at the courtyard of the Institute.

(f) Mobile Bible Exhibition
                        The Bible Institute has a  Mobile Exhibition Unit at the service of the Tamilnadu Church. The students go on every week end with this unit to the parishes and conduct the Exhibition.

(g) Week-end Seminars
                        Frequently the Institute conducts weekend Seminars to lay people from various parishes.

(f) Vacation Bible School (VBS)
                        During the summer holidays many Christian Schools are encouraged to hold one week Summer Classes on Bible. To prepare the personnel for these classes, the Institute gives training to some selected lay people every year in collaboration with he Tamilnadu Bible Commission.

(g) Arulvakku Iyakkam                                                  
                        Training of Bible lay preachers. Meeting held on every month. Seminars conducted in rural areas by the training lay Preachers.
